Bio

Elaine is an active fibre artist who enjoys interpreting the everyday beauty she finds in the natural environment into works of art. Photography, print making, fabric dyeing, hand sewing and free-motion machine stitch techniques are used in concert to create art.

Elaine studied creative arts in college, but has spent a lifetime learning new skills and trying new techniques. For many years, in her professional career she traveled extensively, always observing new cultures and cultural artifacts. Now retired, when she is not outside walking, cycling or exploring, she devotes most of her time to creating.
